something fun I learned while doing @startrekshots.bsky.social: the costumes in PIC change from colorful, natural materials to monochromatic synthetics once Picard and gang leave Earth and only have access to what Rios programmed into the La Sirena's replicator

For whatever reason, pretty much none of the Star Trek books on sale this month are on sale in Canada :;

Seeing "Kids These Days" immediately open with a sun-drenched, exposition-filled, recruitment walk-and-talk in a green, foreign land gave me all the nostalgic feels. The entire episode just felt bigger and grander than anything Trek has launched with in 10 years. And I love it! #StarfleetAcademy

Doing a full start to finish rewatch of Star Trek Voyager for the first time in at least 5 years. And it’s so interesting how my likes and dislikes/opinions of specifics change with every rewatch!

There’s a Voyager game?? I may just need to get a Switch 2 for this 👀
The fact that we're getting a Star Trek Voyager game this year is wild.

This fuckery with Star Trek leaving Netflix makes me want to digitize my DVDs but it looks complicated, especially on Mac idk.

Per Craig Ferguson: When you're about to say something, ask yourself

1. Does this need to be said

2. Does this need to be said by me

3. Does this need to be said by me right now

It's amazing how asking these will get keep you out of trouble (that is, if you actually have sense to begin with)
I’ve been trying very hard to not be an asshole as I get older. Often, that just means keeping my mouth shut and nodding along.

Parisot (the Director) tells a story about how Tim Allen just started crying after a scene one day

"I don't like these feelings i'm having." Says Tim. "I'm going back to my trailor" and walks off.

There's silence for a second.

"Oh my god." Says Rickman. "I think Tim just experienced acting."
Galaxy Quest - a perfect movie, just a wonderful love letter to actors, sci-fi, Star Trek in particular, and to fandom - really deserves a proper physical release with decent extras. Think Weaver's right that releasing a R-rated cut would be fun, too.
Sigourney Weaver Says She Wishes DreamWorks Released A Director’s Cut Of ‘Galaxy Quest,’ Reminisces On Sequel That Never Came To Pass
Sigourney Weaver reflected on cult classic Galaxy Quest and how she wishes the sci-fi satire had released an R-rated director's cut.
