elon fucking killed a major piece of not only driving game discussion, but also sheer inherent word-of-mouth advertising. it has no doubt kneecapped many small- and mid-sized titles and i can't even tell what big games are popping off right now unless they have a Little Guy people wanna doodle
In a post-Share button world, it's been very hard to tell what games are actually hitting. It takes effort to post clips or fan art.

I saw this phrase used in relation to KH but I'm gonna be real, the quote "maybe the series makes sense if you engage with it as a medium and not as a fucking bullet point list on tvtropes." could apply to SO MANY long running media franchises atp, not just KH and not even just games.
