For any of my Star Trek friends on here that might be interested, over on my @pt.letterboxd.social I have a running list of every movie I watch that has a Star Trek actor in it. It's a nice list if you need help picking something to watch & they all contain Trek actors

Films I've Watched with Star Trek Actors
A list of films I've watched that contain main/recurring characters in the Star Trek series and films.

Each year starting in January, I start keeping a list of great movies that I think may end up on my top ten of the year list.

That list finally has ten movies. Many more to come. We'll see how things shake out at the end.

welcome to bluesky. if the word "mapquest" means anything to you and/or you used it as a verb, you're in the right place

As if 2025 wasn't bad enough, I guess I have to agree with Rick Berman on this? Contemporary dialogue in current Star Trek has taken me out of it quite a bit. I don't care about cursing or whatever. But I recall the "dude" drop in the "Picard" pilot and that entire interchange felt very weird

Boosting the Kickstarter for the Doug Drexler Star Trek documentary. 9 days to go, and still have a ways to go.

If interested, chip in if you can. There's still some cool backer rewards.
I threw some support at the Kickstarter for the documentary about the great Doug Drexler, whose artistic contributions to Star Trek cannot be overstated.

If you can, throw in a couple bucks. There's some excellent rewards for not a lot of dollars.

Tonight is again a wonderful reminder that “vote blue no matter who” is a dreadful and unsuccessful rally.

If this “deal” doesn’t preserve the ACA, primary every single one of the democrats who vote yes to reopen the government.

Primary every Senate Democrat — if you have any self-respect. (I know you don’t, and you won’t)

Maybe—just maybe—sports leagues getting in bed with gambling companies wasn’t such a hot idea…

I dunno, seems like sports gambling was a mistake.

When an elusive Star Trek production item I’ve been trying to get goes up for sale but I didn’t see the listing in time 😫

Bob Nightengale gets a lot of shit, but this is a hell of a headline.

You gotta give it to the Colorado Rockies. They keep shit interesting, but in the dumbest of possible ways

All I wanted as a kid was Star Trek Legos so I’m glad Santa finally got off his ass and is going to deliver in the last year of my thirties.

Half asleep on a flight watching American Made and suddenly I hear a familiar voice. It’s Connor Trinneer from Star Trek: Enterprise

I don't know if a Youtuber is exactly credible on this, but there seems to be a reduction of what Patrick Stewart is acting in since Picard ended. I was hoping for one last interesting role from him, not just another Marvel thing.

Sorry to those who wanted more of the “Kelvin” movies, but this should put an end to the near-decade of “will they or won’t they?” with these.

Let’s also hope the TV side gets a similar “fresh” take. I think it’s needed, though I’d be interested in seeing some of the new shows renewed there.

My goodness, Linklater’s newest film, “Blue Moon”, is wonderful. Easily will be in my top 10 of the year.

My mom got me into Trek when I was a kid and most Trek fans I know/ encounter are women. And the lead of my Star Trek show was a woman, as was the captain of the ship. So shut the fuck up.

I’m having a rare night to myself. I’m ordering a pizza. I’m drinking beer. I could watch something new. But let’s face it, I’m probably gonna watch some Star Trek thing I’ve seen a million times.

Real talk, I think Bryce Harper could have had an “elite” year and he still would have been in the shadows because of what Kyle Schwarber did this year.

This whole thing was avoidable if not for a bunch of sports talk dudes rambling on about a fairly benign set of comments from Dombrowski. And now the most important player in the franchise is upset.

This all stinks.

I'm having a particularly hard and heavy week, and this interview with the great Doug Drexler lifted my spirits. The way he talks about Star Trek, and his contributions to it, is so lovely. His enthusiasm is contagious.
