Make no mistake, Star Trek has always been a product of the time in which it was made. For me, though, this present era of Star Trek has really leaned into contemporary ways of talking, and I don't know if some of these shows will age well as a result.

This felt like the case years ago, but good to put a finality to the "what ifs".

That said, if this is his curtain call, that’s entirely his choice & I hope he enjoys retirement. His career has enriched my life, and that of many others.
