Finally got a Bluesky account (I have been reading my fav profiles for a while), but Schumer ticked me off. I had to share info about the CR. But he and 9 others vote yes anyway. They didn't listen to us.

From I remember, out of the current USPS Board of Governors, 5 are Republicans, while 3 are Democrats. David Steiner, a Republican loyalist, is Postmaster General.

I remember how DeJoy slowed down the mail.

Why SCOTUS is getting involved with this & not same sex marriage is suspicious af.

FYI, nothing in the Constitution prohibits it AT ALL

Article I, Section 4: “The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof…”

This clause has been interpreted to give states broad discretion

There is federal law here and the fifth circuit ruled that Mississippi’s law allowing ballots to arrive within 5 days of ED violated federal law. The Supreme Court was asked to reverse that ruling and my guess is it will.

No, I get that. To me it’s insane to say you wouldn’t count ballots postmarked by election day.

Heads up: The Supreme Court has agreed to decide whether federal law prohibits states from counting ballots that arrive after Election Day.

Hi, Jean. My friend is a Nigerian prince who needs to urgently retrieve $1,000,000 from an abandoned trust from his father.

If you can wire $5,000 today, you will be entitled to 35% of the trust. Please reply at your earliest convenience.

I have spent much time over the last few years reading numismatists great and small. As a group, they surely get the prize for "most detail-oriented scholars." They can also be judgmental (even catty), not hesitating to comment on a coin's "beauty" or lack thereof. I wait for them to do their thing

Betraying your promises, your values, your party and your countrymen is bad enough—but getting nothing in return makes the capitulation of eight Senate Democrats to a ghoul a truly grotesque display.

We’d get the promised ACA vote in the senate (unless Dems add it in the amendments portion), and then a discharge petition would force Mike Johnson to bring it to a vote on the house floor. Provided all the other stuff makes it in.

I'm just a (pretty online) guy, and I've spent the past 24 hours trying to figure out who the 'good guys' are who would be good replacements for Schumer.

So far, I've got:

- Murphy
- Duckworth
- Van Hollen
- Warren
- Smith
- Sanders

Anyone I'm missing?

I mean... Bernie, WTF???? Take a damn stand.
