That Mark Warner has not drawn a primary opponent in Virginia is an immense indictment of progressive politics -- both there and across the nation. His votes for Trump nominees -- and his response to this constituent's concerns on crypto -- argue for some sort of broader debate.

There's been a bipartisan consensus (incl. pundit class) for many years about Chavez/Maduro Venezuela. No one involved wants to walk it back now. It would take guts to admit what happened Friday pulled the hinges off the doors of US foreign policy to prop up a failing & wildly unpopular presidency.
Some Democrats hate that their party is largely positioning itself in opposition to the operation that resulted in Maduro's capture.

Yes, another illegal and morally bankrupt act of violence by the administration. But it's not happening in a vacuum.

Maybe we are finally moving to an end of an economic cycle in which consumers desire something and it's taken away from them and corporations shove something else down their throats instead which is obviously anathema to them. Plus: harmful and illegal.
