I watched the Apollo 13 documentary (not the movie) last night. The photos they snapped of the cosmos when they were in the shadow of the moon were truly breathtaking. Jim Lovell was right: the fact that the human race resides in this small blue outpost on the edge of the universe is mind boggling.
