We're in an era where a massive number of new folks are joining social movements. Let's celebrate! As we do, we all get to learn a lot about how to keep each other safe (aka: "security culture"). Signal threads being infiltrated can feel scary but not if you understand what we're trying to protect.

And right now I'm seriously considering migrating that community of 3,500 users off of @discord.com because these proposed 'Age verifications' are a perfect example of Security Theater that makes the world demonstrably more dangerous for most people in my community

I’ve heard hundreds of stories from kids who’s parents effectively think of them as their slaves, and do not respect their autonomy in any way
