I dislike audible notifications, so I've turned them all off. A few times over the past year, my laptop has played one and I can't figure out what's triggered it. It's Outlook email. It's when someone emoji reacts to an email.

Food systems are the #2 contributor to climate change, the #1 driver of deforestation, the #1 driver of biodiversity loss on land, and the #1 user of freshwater.

(It follows that food systems contain many solutions to these problems.)
What is common knowledge in your field, but. shocks outsiders?

6am: "Well, in middle age things start to hurt"
7am: "No point in dwelling on it. Probably no way to avoid it."
8am:"Did I use my usual pillow?"
9am: "Maybe those different grips on the MTB?"
10am: "WAIT! Yesterday was Halloween! I walked two miles in a T-rex head!"
