Yup, this is how you win the world.

How do we just… normalise all this shit when we have the capacity to be human? To make the world better? To fix so much shit instead of making more trauma and darkness. 💔

You protest. You inspire others to use voices they forgot they had in isolation, because it’s so easy to think “I’m just one person, what can I do” and forget that the answer is “everything” because we are the masses, and those elected into power work for us.
I may be tired and a little hoarse, but as I said again and again on the Senate floor, this is a moment where we cannot afford to be silent, when we must speak up.

Belated but as it was UK Mothers Day yday… May I suggest tuning into #Nightbitch by 🎬 Marielle Heller (on Disney atm) for a feral and relevant conversation around motherhood (especially in societies without policies to support them). 💕🍼🎥

So everything abt this is terrifying, and a reminder of how fast democracies can unravel when completely false wild click bait claims aren’t held to account and give some deeply problematic people who care only abt profit and not humans far too much unchecked power.
Video of the international student at Tufts being arrested by "federal authorities" in Massachusetts has been released and it's terrifying.

They're not even uniformed officers. Just secret police thugs in hoodies and masks.

The safer you are in an environment of rising authoritarianism, the more obligation you have to make some noise on behalf of the people who are more vulnerable than you. Indeed, this is the only way you might avoid having the leopards eat your face.

When I wrote my camps book, people sometimes had difficulty understanding how concentration-camp regimes were proud of what they were doing and wanted attention for it, even as they also hoped to keep many aspects secret and terrorize vulnerable classes. Anyway, this is what that looks like.

Wow. Disgusting, even for this White House. This has nothing to do with protecting Jews, btw. It's all about using them to attack colleges, protests, and free speech. Trump quoted Hitler when he said he would unleash the military against "the enemy from within." This was right before the elections.

The censorship, bullying, and fear are real.
