Fascists dont exist in my model railroad.
Had a bit of inspiration yesterday so decided to start on the next kitbash, a 3 door RPO baggage.
Side was made from two Labelle RPO kits cut and shut together.

A little bit of work on 999 saw the beginnings of a solution to solidly mount the gearbox as well as a place to mount pickups.

I actually worked on some trains last night!
Applied decals to a couple flatcars Ive had sitting around for quite a while. I believe one is Labelle and the other Bitter Creek.
I also painted the decks a wood color.

Tiny train do tiny work.
No matter how they phrase it, they're still playing with their trains.

The B-2 got her first run last night.
After some help from my friend messing with some CVs, she is running beautifully.

Been struggling lately with lack of modelling drive. I want to be productive but the moment I try theres no passion behind it. Its deeply frustrating because I know I can do great work but my brain wont give me the happy juice.

The B-2 switcher got a little more detailing including a coal load.

And a quick test showed the headlight works despite the harness issue. Yay

I dont think Ill be giving this engine a backhead due to space constraints with the motor. So a crew is all thats left to add.

First print of the 1832 Mohawk & Hudson RR coach. This was the first step away from the stagecoach style coaches the railroad used in 1831. It looks very much inspired by the Stephenson (of NYC) built horsecars of the same era.

First coat of paint. No idea what these were painted like in actuality, but some vague clues suggest a light colored frame and dark colored body. Yellow tended to hide dust so was pretty typical color for frames and wheels on road going vehicles of the era.

Couple photos from the first weekend of my clubs open house. My two trains being my S-1 on a milk and mail as well as a short freight pulled by my G-8.

What we want from big tech:

- stable communication, art, and entertainment programs

- reliable electronic appliances we can depend on (inc. computers)

What we got:

-endless surveillance, theft, manipulation, and worst of all, unreliable crap tech designed to break.

They deserve the ire!

Shes looking good.
However due to a problem with the harness, the headlight might not work sadly. And replacing the harness at this point is probably too much of a pain.

The B-2 switcher had her first test under power.
Last night I wired up the electrics in the tender and crossed my fingers as I turned her on.
Always love when my installs go right the first time.

Began weathering models full time at 16, burned out at 23. Went to Italy for an industrial design apprenticeship, came back, went to college for it, did well. Graduated and worked at an abusive hardware startup. Quit. Got cold called to build a train layout, now build layouts and love it!

Good greif! These old Peco trams are a nightmare to build! The castings are all over the place!! Well, I might be able to get this looking nice, but time will tell... 😂🤞

This friday begins my clubs open house season. If youre in the Long Island, NY area, come by and run some trains!
Its a bit hard to find as the entrance is on the north side of the building in the parking lot.
From the east side, south of tracks, from the west side, north of Subway.

Friday saw the first (and only) run of the AmSteam before she developed a gallop, threw a crankpin, and cooked her speaker...
Time for another rebuild then...

Once I got the tender painted, I could start on decaling. And I screwed up the decals, twice.
Both sides I messed up the second '3' while applying microsol. And there were only 4 of them on the sheet, so another decal sheet was ordered.
Hopefully the second time around goes a bit better.
