one thing that i really do appreciate about keeping bugs and spiders is that. after they die, their exoskeleton doesn’t rapidly decay or rot away. with proper preservation , you can keep them for a VERY long time. i have everyone in their own jar for now, i plan to make a memorial shelf ❤️

i cry when i watch the trapeze video because it’s one of the last times i got to play with Topsy, after that she started laying egg sacs nonstop and i wish i had noticed she was egg bound before it was too late.

topsy was a spider that felt like a person to me. and i really really had hoped to have her for years. she was only a baby when i got her in June. i wish i could have saved her. i wish she didn’t die.
