apparently DQ11S added some stuff between act 1 and 2 and i don't think i like the placement
i'm fine with the content i just wish it were in the related bits of act 2 itself

unless i'm forgetting something i'm about 4 feet away from Act 2 of DQ11 so that's neat
i guess maybe it's just because it was one of the first few JRPGs i played (after Persona 3-5), but i still swear Act 1 was longer than it is

i think when i first played DQ11 i probably sucked at JRPGs still because i handled a boss i remember rumbling me really easily this time, probably at a lower level too
i think i might somehow get to act 2 faster too which would be insane given reading in japanese should be enough of a debuff

one interesting thing about DQ11 is that the language seems pretty significantly harder than DQ1-3, though that might just be due to it having far more dialog in general
might be a similar percentage of unknown words, just with there being way more of them per minute

my strat of "fight each new enemy once as you come across them" seems to be a bit too few fights
