A big question asked over on the Threads platform. Too many characters for this platform, so I’m posting as a photo. Interesting exercise.

Picked up a few DVDs. It’s been decades since I last viewed them. Baby the Rain Must Fall - screenplay by Horton Foote and based on his play The Traveling Lady. Notable score by Elmer Bernstein. Another Woman, a glorious cast including Gena Rowlands, Betty Buckley, Sandy Dennis and Francis Conroy.

Heavy AF week!

If I had Legs… - Not for the squeamish.
Ken Park - Harmony Korine’s writing pierces through once again.
Incendies - Extraordinary film. The moment I found out, my soul took temporary leave.

On this day, 11/14/1976, Sidney Lumet's NETWORK premieres.

Blistering satire of media as relevant today as ever! Exploiting, manipulating, creating news 4 ratings w/utter ruthlessness. Familiar?

Winner of 4 Oscars: Peter Finch, Faye Dunaway, Beatrice Straight, writer Paddy Chayefsky.

A night at The Dallas Opera with Francis Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites. Spectacular! One of three Poulenc operas, none of which are produced often. I’ve only been familiar with his organ concerto until now. This was a WOW moment for me!

This was a complete mindf*ck of a series and I massively enjoyed it. Theatre of the absurd and sketch comedy meets Black Mirror, complete with a resident company of actors. An assault on or pleasing to the senses, depending on who you are. Oddly sexy.

If you haven’t already experienced this film, this review will make that choice for you to do so.

An exquisite film and remarkable play by Edward Albee. The film score by Alex North is notable.

My ★★★★★ review of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? boxd.it/8Y1l2N

Ultimate cage fight: four combatants enter, none remain unscathed.

In night of debauchery, tales are told, battles fought, games played & hypocrisies exposed. Unforgettable tour-de-force performances, wickedly funny.

Super sexy and sinister. An interesting version of Hedda Gabler. I believe I like the Lovborg twist and Nina Hoss has an award-winning performance here. I miss some of the original script, but did catch things I haven’t caught before.
