My husband and three more of my closest friends and I all either work or have retired from network security related jobs. None of us trust any Internet of Things products. Not one.
We own a few with IoT potential, but all "intelligence" in them is switched off.

Yup. I work in IT, and I refuse to buy smart appliances. No smart TV. No Alexa. I live in a literal cabin in the woods. No one hates modern tech like those who have to work on it when it breaks.
