VERY unseasonably cold weather coming in. Harvested the rest of the lettuce, beets greens, and radishes. Cabbage will tolerate it just fine. 🌱

Poppy seedlings come up just as the first frost is coming in. They are very cold tolerant but I’m not sure if they need to be bigger before the frost. I’m sure more than I need to will survive the winter.

Last call for support letters!
The City of Atlanta has decided to give me a court date, accusing me of violating code because I have a yard full of edible and wild plants as opposed to a monoculture lawn.

Let me know if you want a letter template! Thank you for your support

Wild local election results last night. Local woman has been running for our city counsel for well over a decade. Counsel+ mayor has been nothing but old men for 20 years. She usually gets ~700 votes. This time she got 1780. Great for us.

Man our global warming growing season is getting wild. This year last frost was March 10 and first frost is looking like November 10. Sounds great for growing shit until you see how bad the hot humid summer beats up the crops. 🌱

Even though cilantro is associated with warm climates, it’s actually a cool weather crop. Here in zone 8b it can even survive right through the winter where it will produce a bumper early spring crop. 🌱

I had a drug problem a couple decades ago. Have had dreams about getting high ever since though with decreasing frequency. I think last night was the first time in a couple years.
