I know some ppl have moved to talking abt things almost exclusively on signal. I think it depends on the individual and their own circumstances tbh what level of risk they’re at in the moment.

I’m 2 hours from Memphis and that’s the biggest city near me 😬😬 Jackson, TN is an hour away and that’s the main place to shop unless you’re going to one of the several Walmarts which are all 40ish minutes away

My nearest native woods are a decent drive away too! I’m in commercial farming country but I’d like to transform our own little plot. There is Big Cypress tree area not too far from me! I already follow their accounts everywhere so I’ll see if they have anything coming up!

I’d say an exceptionally large part of the population here home gardens just because we’re so far from stores and/but it IS a commercial farming area and there’s less interest in native species as opposed to food plants.

I used to get into these kinds of things. Take classes, go to plant sales, etc when I lived in Mississippi and when I lived in GA. Here, I’m so far away from civilization I forget there ARE resources I just have to drive farther for them.

I’m far from Appalachia. More west of Natchez trace. Tbh I’m closer to Kentucky than a lot of resources ppl have listed for me so maybe I should look at things in west KY/east MO as well
