a couple hundred of us in Trenton today to get ICE out of NJ. Immigrant rights are on the agenda in the statehouse tomorrow and we were out there to let people know that noone is illegal and to Fuck Ice.

spending the weekend with my SIR @alphagunny.bsky.social was really nice. I want to be more focused on providing service and being in touch with my submission this year so I made sure to make time for his boots. They looked alright I think.

There's shit that's scary, dangerous and I can't control that's going on right now. No hot take will do anything worth while. So @alphagunny.bsky.social and I went for an icy steep hike in the Palisades. Definitely the right choice.

This year, I want to read more. The goal is 26 books this year - and hopefully I can hit it. I want to cycle more - I want to hit at least 600 miles this year, and I think I can do it. I want to be more financially secure - and have set some goals for that. On the spicy side, I have specific wants.

Been thinking about the things I sought to do this past year. Wanted to read more and I did that. 15 books wasn't my goal, but it was a lot more than the year before. Wanted to do more politically to make my city a better place, and I did that - and I think my work had an impact. Wanted to bicycle

Book 14 for the year is "The Fetishist" the final work from Katherine Min and published posthumously. It's an interesting study of the damage done by fetishizing certain types of people. Heartbreaking at times, wryly funny in others. It took a bit of work to get through it but glad I did. #booksky💙📚

My neighbor is Scottish and hung out with the Beach Boys when they would tour the UK in the 60s which would put me three hops from Charlie Manson and the Maharishi.
my grandfather worked for NASA in the 1960s and met Wernher von Braun, so yeah, a lot of us are three hops away from all *kinds* of horrible people
