I DONT CARE if *some* students have managed to get accommodations by allegedly "gaming the system" or "doctor shopping"
I DON'T CARE.
Because my experience tells me how hard it is to be disabled in higher ed, as both a disabled student, and disabled faculty member now.

How about we worry less, as a society, about whether individuals might be cheating to get a disability accommodation or some help buying food, and more about whether extremely wealthy people and corporations are paying their fair share of taxes?

I hate seeing people trying to paint Iryna Zatuska as a martyr who I know for a fact would not give a fuck if she was killed by a Russian bomb in her home country, in the very war that led to her seeking shelter in the USA.
Hell, some of them would even celebrate were that the case.

Growing up, was anyone else taught that paper was the world's biggest environmental issue?
I feel like in school and on TV and stuff, it was all about how we had to use less paper or else the trees were going to all die. I feel like that was a bit overstated.

I don't want to say it's funny because it really isn't, but it's remarkable that quite a few of the worst cases of torture, abuse, and neglect were uncovered because the perpetrator went to the emergency services and tried to cover it as an accident.
