This painful read is making the rounds. One of the depressing things social media algorithms did to us was teach us to default to binary & polarized boxes for complex things. To label any issue essentially feminine or masculine is flawed to begin with. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/06/o...

Love this CBC News brand campaign launching today. People tell us they are overwhelmed by the "noise" of disinformation, AI-generated slop, hot takes, comment wars, etc. We can be the solution: “Choose News, Not Noise.” Hats off to CBC's marketing, brand & comms team!

I’m not a sports fan but this column is a masterpiece. I’m mesmerized by the way humans love being put thru a feelings spin cycle to feel alive & baseball certainly does that. This city will catalyze the heartbreak for the better, no doubt. Keep going 💙 www.theglobeandmail.com/gift/ab51808...

Best decision I ever made was to live in a high density ‘hood, downtown Toronto, with no car. Every time I leave my house I’m microdosing joy. Necessary friction for an introvert. The chat with the neighbour, coffee shop talking Jays, the walking, the heartbeat of all of it. It’s the best.

Context! Humans are complicated so it would make sense that their relationship to content is complex too.
What if people appreciate having an abundance of content and communication, more than they feel overloaded by it?
@annisch.bsky.social et al decided to have a look. Their results? "We found that appreciation for abundance was about twice as common as overload".
