Trump said it was terrible, during the campaign, that people couldn't afford an apple. Honeycrosp, today, at my ShopRite: $1.16 each. Enough apples for a pie? Almost $7!!

Trump thinks that he gets to frame the argument and decide every outcome.

Just like King George III.

Just remember, George III was insane too.

In Trump’s second term, the need for congressional action against corruption has never been clearer. Our latest report offers recommendations for strengthening the vital anti-corruption safeguards in the Constitution’s Emoluments Clauses: bit.ly/3XdgCaq

I will never tire of reading how we mopped the floor with Republicans a week ago. Everything Trump does appears to dig the hole even deeper for them. His dog whistles simply aren't working now. It took long enough.

"Rather than use the immense powers of the speaker’s office to forcefully steer the debate in Congress, as a coequal branch of the government on par with the executive and the courts, Johnson simply closed up shop — allowing the House to become unusually deferential, particularly to Donald Trump."..

It's not up to the SC justices to consider HOW the US would return the $ if Trump's tariff scheme is Unconstitutional! It is their job to interpret the Constitution. Period.

Trump: "What I basically said the ones that stayed—there were a lot of them—I’m sending them a $10,000 bonus."
Ingraham asked, “Where is that money coming from?”
Trump said, “I don’t know. I will get it from some place. I always get the money from some place, regardless. It doesn’t matter.”

Democrats as a party need a lot more discipline. There ought to be pressure on who can run as a Dem (and who can't).

Sens Durbin, Rosen, Letterman, Castro, Shaheen, Hassan, Kaine, King caved when the pressure was finally strong enough to produce results. Everyone who endured the pressure of the last 40 days was let down. They have neutered their party for a year. But most of them arent running. Schumer failed us.
