Dear white people, please refrain from suggesting that Black individuals have a victim mindset. The systems in America were neither initially nor continually designed to benefit us—and besides, our history in this country is far from that of victims.

The differences are staggering, especially the passing of pro-police legislation compared to accountability. Some states like CO get it right, while NY proposes so many bills only to have nearly 97% fail. State legislatures
