Just saw a new "book" allegedly chronicling the history of goth and deathrock by one mister "Nick Razer." Heads up: it is AI slop, as are all his books, many of which are super sus.

His press quotes from @thequietus.com and NME are fake. Don't fall prey this this edgelord stupidity.

This is Jerry Lawson. He invented the video game cartridge for the Fairchild Channel F system. Because of his invention, many consoles had cartridges and CD formats and would become the norm.

The Atari 2600, NES, Genesis, and many consoles wouldn't exist without him.

Happy Black History Month.

Wow! What sounded like the entire AEW Dynamite audience in Las Vegas tonight chanted "Fuck ICE! Fuck ICE!" in unison before the main event

Super prahd this guy's from the Burgh. Keep on speaking truths, sir. 🖤💛
You do what you can until you can do more.

Every time there’s some form of protest whether it’s marching or refusing to spend money for a day I see pushback from people who say it’s ineffective or performative.

And maybe it is in some ways, but it’s also a starting point for more.

With no due respect, I’m not reading your substack screed about how Democrats are enabling fascism. You’re in a Nazi bar, bro.

Too many (not all, but too many) people in the Hard Sciences still view folks in the Humanities & Social Sciences with a combination of disrespect, dismissal, and sometimes outright contempt. That's not cool and it's downright counterproductive, because these branches of knowledge *need* each other.

Practice good media hygiene! Don't just post screenshots. Include the link to the news source and use alt text for images.

Sharing where the information comes from is paramount when it's easier than ever to just make stuff up. Supporting trustworthy media means including story links!

THIS strip is, of course, also an homage to the groundbreaking "Little Nemo in Slumberland" by Winsor McCay. It's been a strip I've been wanting to parody for a while now, and this was a lot of fun to try.

My academic writing is generally stilted garbage, but it's all my stilted garbage.

Of course, others have disagreed with my opinion.
No, these are very serious comments.

ChatGPT has absolutely no goddamn place in graduate education. It steals from other authors, routinely gets major facts wrong, hallucinates sources, and generally makes the prose flat and boring as hell.

And if you shill for it in my mentions, I'll block you.
