I’ve been wanting to make a strip about Heidi’s weird habit of mumbling... while facing away and still expecting to be understood... for a WHILE. But I needed a punchline that didn’t end up being all that MEAN. Playing with the reality of the strip was a really fun way to do that.

Honestly, it still feels a little weird that the main comic I work on is about myself. There are a lot of days where I wish I would have designed and named characters that were more stand-ins and not quite so literally us. Lol

When it's jacket weather for us, it's adorable shirts and sweaters season for POE, and he continues to love it. Lol

Wowzers! 10 years ago today, The Peanuts Movie premiered and I was a very happy person! I loved it and still love it, and rewatch it regularly! 💛🖤💛

At the time, I was still drawing my first webcomic, Dandy & Company, and made THIS homage about the movie. I might need a rewatch soon. :)

While, technically, this strip was made right when I was heading back into the office after the COVID lockdowns, it's not like it's not pretty much ALWAYS relevant for me. I mean, stress eating is my primary hobby. Lol

Lately I’ve remembered how much I REALLY like Popeye—thanks in part to that wild Popeye/Gert brawl in Skottie Young’s I HATE FAIRYLAND (with art by Jay Fosgitt!). I’ve been doodling the one-eyed Sailor Man for fun with a Kuretake Brush Pen No. 24. What can I say? I am what I am. ;)

It's funny, but the one thing I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around with this Image/90s/Jim Lee homage strip I'm working on is the COLORING. I've NEVER been able to pull off that style of digital coloring.

Might need to put out the call for HELP!!! lol (This is that call, FYI. ;) )

Y'know, I was getting MUCH better with spiders in the house until that one got all bitey. Still, jumping spiders ARE cute and none of THEM have bitten me, so they're safe. lol

Doing my darndest to channel a little Jim Lee and Scott Williams for an upcoming FINDING DEE strip! REALLY fun and REALLY NOT EASY!!! lol

For those curious about the current strips, here's a peek at the REAL "Random", chilling on the couch and looking adorbs. lol

Today’s strip was extra fun! When planning how to show Random joining full-time, I thought of Georgia Dunn’s delightful Breaking Cat News! She kindly let me play in her world. I’ve always loved crossovers since my Dandy & Company days, &this was a real treat. Thanks again, Georgia!

Working on a new Finding Dee style-homage strip and planning on channeling my 90s IMAGE-era influence yet again. This will be a HECK of a challenge to ink. Lol

We put up one of those fans with a light you can screw into an existing socket for our kitchen. We turned it on and were immediately blinded by how dang BRIGHT it was, as the bulb was an LED one. Once my vision returned, it inspired this... BRIGHT idea. 😉

Ooop. I'm home sick today, and feeling pretty crummy, and forgot to share today's new strip. Derp.

FYI, Random is no longer a porch cat in the real world, but reality always lags a LITTLE behind in the comic. Lol

Every year, the shifting darkness mucks with me. I know I'm not alone in that. Lol

Hey, it’s the day after HALLOWEEN! That means all the costumes are gonna be on sale! EVERYTHING MUST GO!!!
November 1, 2025 at 2:52 PM
I put together an audio file with a bunch of Roger L. jackson GHOSTFACE lines, mixed with hydraulic hissing and pretended to be an animatronic on the porch. And, amazingly, it actually WORKED!

Scared more than a few folks! WEEEE!

I've been wanting to do an homage to MAD MAGAZINE for a WHILE, and finally came up with something that felt... relevant.

Yes, it's more political than I usually get in the strip, but I couldn't think of ANYTHING scarier for Halloween than this.

Brushpen Pennywise doodle, drawn just for funsies after work. And because we are enjoying IT: Welcome to Derry so far.

The GOOGLE logo is currently a lot of fun to click on.

Happy ALMOST Halloween!!!

I was thinking about the classic 80s and 90s slasher/horror characters that I’ve parodied, and wanted to do a gag with a character I HAVEN'T homaged to death yet. ;)
October 30, 2025 at 1:22 PM
It’s not actually Halloween yet, but this strip was inspired by a past one when Rick and I teamed up as Michael Myers and Jason. We had a blast, &made grown men jump with almost no effort. All I had to do was slowly turn my head in the mask. Delicious. lol

A little bit of extra fun to follow up the strip for today!
