Videos verified by The New York Times show Alex Jeffrey Pretti, the man federal agents shot and killed in Minneapolis on Saturday, was holding a phone, not a gun, when the agents took him to the ground and shot him. In total, at least 10 shots appear to have been fired within five seconds.

Federal authorities said the slain man, Alex Pretti, had approached agents with a gun. But videos show Mr. Pretti was holding his phone, not a weapon, when they pulled him to the ground.

From CNN: "They believe that Democrats have an upper hand on... health care and that a separate health care vote will spotlight the differences between the two parties, even though it has little chance of becoming law." So, they did this just to get a SYMBOLIC VOTE they know they'll lose?! SMH!

@smerconish.bsky.social Then Manchin did the same with the American Rescue Plan, trading his vote for kickbacks to the coal industry. So, I guess leveraging your vote is only okay when Manchin does it to enrich his WV interests. But not when Dems do it to save the social safety net. 2/2
