("neo-") liberal. Not socialist. Not MAGA. Not socially conservative. But I'm quite sure that you'll tell me just how I should feel today!
pro-west, not pro-peace.

I'm never being racist because I'm not basing arguments on a pseudoscientific hierarchy of races based on genetic value judgments.

I'm being culturist because I AM basing arguments on a fair assessment of superior and inferior cultures/mores based on the idea that there is an objective standard.
Of course Trump can't and won't fire Noem. He wants ICE to be the SS, his personally-loyal praetorian guard, and he needs them to be that to stay in power. Any normal president would have fired dozens of people by now, but loyalty to him is all that matters.

Trump on guns: anti
Trump on inflation: pro
Trump on consumption taxes (tariffs): pro
Trump on protectionist industrial policy: pro
Trump on abortion: pro

This is your conservative? He looks more like a leftist radical.

As we await a Supreme Court ruling on tariff authority, a new @bloomberg.com analysis finds this admin followed through on just 27% of its tariff threats.

Tariffs can be a serious policy tool—when used strategically.

This approach has been anything but.

In fairness to trump, he has been betting for years that the median voter does not understand even the most basic principles of economics and it has worked out just fine for him.
Trump: "People that own their homes -- we're gonna keep them wealthy. We're gonna keep those prices up. We're not gonna destroy the value of their homes so that somebody who didn't work very hard can buy a home."

We have millennials in the US insisting their employer (illegally) use an applicant's faith to deny a job, saying they "can't work with" a Catholic man on the dubious theory that all Catholics are anti-choice. Would the same person have a problem working with a "has victim status" Muslim?

So Trump thinks lowering interest rates ONLY boosts property prices (which he thinks is good) but doesn't boost any other prices?

How could Americans vote for Trump in 2016?
well, the Ghostbusters movie was THAT BAD, so that's something of an excuse.

This time there is no excuse.

In case you missed it. An ICE Out protest broke out in Milan, Italy on Saturday. Denmark also protested again yesterday, too.

I'm quite happy to accept that the dating and loneliness crisis is not restricted to white men, or whites, or men at all. But that doesn't mean Democrats don't need policies for it. Someone as old as Biden, even with perfect mental acuity, is not going to get gooning, rizz, chads etc.

If anyone ever said to Trump that the State as a monopoly on the legitimate use of force, he would not have understood that as saying "all non-State force is illegitimate". He clearly thinks "all use of force by the State is legitimate, and I am the State, so I can do anything I want."

Most European political economies have a commitment and expectation of national solidarity & every person should be able to live a dignified life (job, shelter, healthcare etc.) and the US far right don't actually disagree with that. But they they re-define "person" as people like them only.

Republicans in Congress are trying to seem distant from Trump's most unpopular policies, but without speaking out directly in a way that will cause him to call for them to be hanged like he did with his own VP. They want Democrats to bail them out by taking the heat every time.

When Trump is gone, the GOP's reputation will be ruined, and he doesn't care. The only excuse they will be able to give is "We kept humoring him because he riled up the loudmouth lesbians and he threatened us with pizzas."
