It allows for 32 days of set-up, events and de-installation, including “wet weather buffer days”. Protect Brockwell Park (PBP), the campaign group that opposes large events in. the park, said this meant that, as opposed to the 2025 event, the community would be “part of the discussion” and that there would be a prior full assessment t of the impact of the events on “amenity, ecology, access and noise”.

I’d hate to see the wrong way.
If a Japanese tourist travelling on the Victoria Line wanting to alight at Green Park to visit Buckingham Palace, fell asleep, woke up at Brixton, went upstairs, wandered around and ended up in Loughborough Junction, they would not be as lost as this 'Labour' party.
I’m proud of our party’s traditions, but fear we have lost our way.
We urgently need to speak up for members, for working people and for the communities that our party was founded to represent.

NHS Blood and Transplant today (2 June) made an urgent appeal to the people of Brixton to book blood donation appointments and help replenish falling stocks. New and lapsed donors were encouraged to make an appointment. There are 686 appointments available this week at the Brixton donor centre; 1,000 slots need to be filled each week to meet demand. The NHS said the current donation shortfall has been caused by a high number of bank holidays coming in quick succession, combined with the start of the half-term break.

A lovely day yesterday in Brockwell Park as we came together again to remember former Saturday Club member and SMFC player, John Ogunjobi, who tragically lost his life aged just 16 to knife crime. John would have celebrated his 22nd birthday this weekend.
