As of Monday 17 March we will no longer be active on X. The platform has become a cesspit of bigotry, hate (‘free’) speech and misinformation. We made some great friends on Twitter and hope many of them will be joining us on here. 👍
And as of January charging youth football clubs £27 per pitch (from free usage). 3 home games on a Saturday costing an unsustainable £81. 💰

From the utterly shameless Infantino kissing Trump's butt and his utterly bogus 'peace' award, to the stilted delivery of the hosts to Rio Ferdinand (and his jacket) to the Village People, that was without doubt the most embarrassing spectacle in the history of the once glorious World Cup. #USMNT

Ajax, the inventors of Total Football, 4 times European Champions, home of Cruyff, Neeskens, Van Basten and Bergkamp, thrashed 5-1 last night by Chelsea in the #UCL, who played 3 teenagers, all of whom scored. A sad indictment of how money and greed has completely devalued a once great competition.

If a Japanese tourist travelling on the Victoria Line wanting to alight at Green Park to visit Buckingham Palace, fell asleep, woke up at Brixton, went upstairs, wandered around and ended up in Loughborough Junction, they would not be as lost as this 'Labour' party.
I’m proud of our party’s traditions, but fear we have lost our way.

We urgently need to speak up for members, for working people and for the communities that our party was founded to represent.

Why I'm running for deputy leader 👇🏾
I’m running for Labour deputy leader because we can’t out-Reform Reform. But we can be more Labour | Bell Ribeiro-Addy

4 minutes into the new season and @skysportpl.bsky.social insufferable Peter Drury has already screamed out two players names he thought, incorrectly, were going to score. #LIVBOU

SUMMER AT SMP…
On 28 July we were invited for a day out at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium as part of the Kevin Campbell Foundation’s ‘Building Dreams – Summer Football Programme’. The KCF also made a short film of the day’s events.

Great to see that the FA are working with social media platforms and the police to deal with the vile racist abuse aimed at Jess Carter. Let’s hope 55 year-old divorcee Dave, currently kipping in his dear old mum’s spare room in Bexley gets his 15 minutes of fame. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿👍

Just received advice from Norton Security about Spam phishing emails. They often contain noticeable grammar mistakes, awkward phrasing, or misspelled words, which essentially describes the current POTUS's social media posts and speech.

Urgent appeal to Brixton blood donors
NHS Blood and Transplant today (2 June) made an urgent appeal to the people of Brixton to book blood donation appointments and help replenish falling stocks. New and lapsed donors were encouraged to make an appointment. There are 686 appointments available this week at the Brixton donor centre; 1,000 slots need to be filled each week to meet demand. The NHS said the current donation shortfall has been caused by a high number of bank holidays coming in quick succession, combined with the start of the half-term break.

A lovely day yesterday in Brockwell Park as we came together again to remember former Saturday Club member and SMFC player, John Ogunjobi, who tragically lost his life aged just 16 to knife crime. John would have celebrated his 22nd birthday this weekend.
