genuinely, think about how much our libraries do right now with the tiny bits of funding they can finagle, and imagine what they could do if they had real, proper funding. and then call your city council member and tell them to guarantee more money for the library

I wonder if the folk who are making exorbitant amounts of money off the suffering of others believe that if they can just get enough, they can finally afford a soul...

I could express opinions. There are a lot of things I could address... Buuut, instead—I'm laughing.

I'm not pitching this. I was trying to explain 'long Furby' to someone (you'd think that self explanatory), and stumbled upon this.

Be not afraid.

I’ve only posted one GFM, and it’s my intention never to post another. But this one is close to my heart. I know the family personally and have visited with them countless times. If you can help out, it would be great. If not, I completely understand - but a retweet is free.

Once again, the fate of millions is in the hands of a few...

Once again, I am wondering why we have no say at this stage.

Sure, we elected those people, but...seriously, if it's this contentious, and if it is going to impact us most, why aren't we allowed to vote on this?

if you are food insecure for both the humans and pets in your household there is a tool called Pet Help Finder that can help locate pet food banks nearby and other free or reduced price assistance and supplies for pets.
no one, ABSOLUTELY NO ONE, should have to give up their pet bc of this.

Grateful for this Delta flight attendant for providing some clarity on the upcoming changes to flights during the holidays.

...but I hesitate to post pictures 'cause the gore factor I was going for came out too perfectly.

Today I suddenly had a Chest CT with contrast scheduled for tomorrow. I'm told it's crucial. Cost to me is $2,788.25 in advance.
Who can scrounge up 2.7 grand in 24 hours?!
I THINK that'll fit on the medical credit card but... fuck!

This year is 'Melmoth the Wanderer,' and...

It makes no sense to not pay the federal employees while they're still working. It's childish and arbitrary nonsense. They're working, and it's assumed they'll be paid after. Any other employer would have their asses sued off.

PSA: in other words, learn from my mistakes.

I had a power bank I had purchased so I could recharge my laptop during power outages. It only worked for a couple of years so I had it in a bag of items to take to household hazardous waste for recycling. And forgot it existed.

Fast forward to +

AI companies are spending billions on deals with each other, which boost their value.

This has helped twenty billionaires tied to AI add $450B to their fortunes in 2025.

Meanwhile, an MIT study found that 95% of companies using AI haven't seen returns on investment.

Be warned.

The etymology of 'yeet' is fascinating.

...more accurately, thinking too long about the etymology of 'yeet' is fascinating.

That thing came out of practically nowhere. Sources cite a Vine from 2014, but otherwise it's basically a big shrug.
