The best part of this photo — which is a good example of how photographers make art — is the slogan “American workers first” on the banner observed by troops who’ve been forced to pick up trash and do landscaping because the president on the banner illegally fired the American workers who did that.
What an image

Honestly? The $400M plane from Qatar is quaint compared to his crypto scam, memecoin con, insider trading, and tariff shakedowns.

Everyone could see it getting to this point, testing the water with smaller things at first--renting rooms at his hotels, buying shares in Truth Social, funding golf tournaments at his resorts--and they got away with all of it, so now it's open bribery of billions in meme coins and private jets

Tell me you've never watched Star Wars without telling me you've never watched Star Wars. I'll let the, and I can't believe this is real, official White House twitter account go first....

Our draft dodger in chief highlights his complete and utter lack of knowledge and respect for our allies and veterans below. The level of absolute disrespect in the 2nd part of his post is appalling.

He cuts off our trade with all parts of the world:
He imposes taxes on us without our consent:
He deprives us in many cases, of the benefits of trial by jury:
He transports us beyond seas to be tried for pretended offenses…

I hate to give Musk any greater reach on his asinine posts and this isn't the first time he's said something this stupid. But, if you think a current sitting US Senator who is a retired USN CAPT and Astronaut is a traitor, you need to get the hell off our planet.

I recall what America did in regards to the last King we had. Between J6 and his trampling of the Constitution over the last 4 weeks, I've seen enough.

A non-government business that contracts with the federal government received notice today that in order to do business with the government they must certify that they don’t participate in DEI. So it’s not just the feds, it’s any private biz that contracts with the feds. Here’s the message they got:

So they want to trample 1st Amendment rights now too. Add this to the wholesale takeover of Government Departments by unvetted, unelected, private sector employees who are violating privacy laws, impounding funds appropriated by Congress and other criminal behavior.

So good to see so many former agency/military and public show up in support of the Trailblazers in Cryptography portraits that were covered up at the National Cryptologic Museum this morning. Typical non-answers from the Agency suits that were there, but the display is restored to how it should be.

Well said. I hate doom and gllom, but the current path and thinking of this administration is on track to unravel our American ideals and destroy the alliances and friendships that make it all work.
The world all of us Americans have lived in is one where—despite our griping & not awesome moments & political narratives—the United States has been an engine of innovation, prosperity, security, human progress

But if you take out enough screws, it will lurch to a halt & not be easy to resurrect /1

A lot of folks didn’t learn this lesson during Trump’s first term, apparently:

Focus on what he does, not what he says.

He’s going to say a lot of things, but those things are meant to distract you from what he’s doing.

Just spoke with former Officer Mike Fanone about the Biden pardon that covers him and other officers who testified before the Jan. 6 committee.

“This is a different kind of American exceptionalism. It’s exceptionally fucked up.”

People who are much more eloquent than me have already commented on these pardons better than I ever could. I'll take the low road. This is a fucking travesty and opens up political violence as ok if your side is the winner. The next 4 yrs are going to be so bad.

President Donald Trump is preparing to issue sweeping pardons to defendants charged in the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol and intends to cut short sentences for some people who attacked police, a source familiar with the matter said on Monday.

Offering impunity for political violence is wildly dangerous
Less pithily, it is one part of an ongoing insurrectionist movement to strengthen authoritarianism in the United States by demonstrating there is no real cost for pro-Trump political violence. bsky.app/profile/past...
Pardoning the people convicted of crimes related to January 6 would be an extension of the insurrection that began that day, as I explained to the Washington Post: www.washingtonpost.com/national-sec...

Pardoning violent thugs who attacked the US Capitol and assaulted cops to subvert an American election is quite fascistic.

No rule of law. No law and order. All that matters is following the Dear Leader, who incited violence with lies. This is a violation of his oath to protect the Constitution.
Trump: "So this is January 6. And these are the hostages. Approximately 1,500 for a pardon. Full pardon."

I dread the daily drama. The government run by tweets. The oligarchy plundering the country. The ignorant masses making excuses for the imbecile they exalted.

I’m embarrassed.

Why is it/how is it tolerated, in both his last presidency and this one, before it even begins that they are not held accountable for failing to adhere to regulations around (waves at everything)?
