🎉 Brett White is back on the Hallmark beat 🎉

Too bad, he didn't have more fun.

"Last year's THREE WISER MEN AND A BOY mostly skated by on charm, novelty, and familiarity. THREE WISEST MEN, sans Boy, is just kinda there (courtesy of Home Goods and King's Hawaiian)."

With no updates for more than a month, this was what presumed had happened, but still stinks to have it confirmed. We can't have nice things. 😥

Another fantastic entertainment resource, filled with talented, passionate people gone.

After the disappointing A MERRY LITTLE EX-MAS we rewatched LOVE HARD and, man, am I nostalgic for the Netflix that used to make fun, original holiday rom-coms like that one, instead of just aping Hallmark but with slightly bigger budgets and the occasional, mildly more gonzo plot premise.

At the point during A MERRY LITTLE EX-MAS where Oliver Hudson blithely tells Alicia Silverstone she and their kids were his practice family, so he can be a better husband and dad second time around, I was rooting for Silverstone and Melissa Joan Hart to compost Hudson. Who thought this was romantic?
Every single actor in A MERRY LITTLE EX-MAS was better than its meh script and lackluster pacing. A not terrible concept, executed fairly poorly.

This story about visiting the Sheffield Christmas Market is 3/4 of a Hallmark movie script. It's got the meet cute, just needs a 2nd act obstacle before the inevitable happy ending.

Usually like Owen Gleiberman, but this review, while ultimately tepidly positive, not only condescends to Christmas movies as a genre, but spoils, beat by beat, big chunks of A VERY JONAS CHRISTMAS MOVIE in way near-certain to ruin some of its fun.

Poor form, Variety.

Peacock just added a bunch of Christmas movies, including a cache of Hallmark library titles (PROJECT CHRISTMAS WISH and IT'S CHRISTMAS, CAROL are fun) and fairly charming 2014 UK movie, GET SANTA, starring Jim Broadbent.

GET SANTA widely available on streamers and worth a watch for cast alone.

The THREE WISEST MEN now up on Hallmark+ is already the "Extended Cut" version that has become an annual addition for this joke-dense movie series. It looks to be roughly 10-minutes longer than what aired last night on Hallmark.

A VERY JONAS CHRISTMAS MOVIE is perfect. I love it so much, and immediately bought the soundtrack. I didn’t even know Jonas #3 name and still adored it. Huge win. So funny.

In recent years, ditched dust-catcher tree skirts in favor of wicker collars to hide stand and cables, but hard to find them sized for smaller trees

Stumbled across these honeycomb paper collars for my 5' bubble tree, and think it gives it fun, mid-century modern vibe
