the answer is quite a lot but shooters are by far the most popular game type we’re talking tens of millions of players across the world, it really might just be a numbers thing rather than a direct correlation. the right wing basement gamer overlord is still a WoW player!

twitter was never a big direct driver of traffic like Reddit or Google even when it was good. my post wasn’t just to journos but to say that the majority of game communities and accounts remains on Twitter whether we like it or not. And reputational damage idk I don’t think that’s a real thing

doesn't seem like studios are in a rush to do something either
Lets take look at Blizzard, Epic, Valve, Ubisoft, Respawn, Embark and all the devs who have the biggest games on Twitch I'm sure they're all super psyched for the new Bluesky feature
