Finally got round to watching 'The Substance' last night. I really liked it and thought it had some very solid performances - Demi Moore particularly. Certainly gives you plenty to think about. Some pretty obvious influences came through too; Carrie, Videodrome, The Fly, Re-Animator and From Beyond.

I liked The Witch and The Northman, but Nosferatu is easily THE best film from Robert Eggers. Epic gothic horror and a must-see movie for fans of the genre.

Really enjoyed this movie last night; funny, moving, profound, and often a bit awkward at times. Culkin's performance is brilliant and completely unfiltered. Well worth a watch.
