The Boston globe has an article on my old landlord in Somerville (13 years ago) who is a professional Jester www.bostonglobe.com/2026/01/28/m...

I don't know why the article mentions ai (aside from clickbait) since he's the last person who'd make an ai video but good for him on goin viral!

I will simply never recover from reading this sentence:

"Since Georgia implemented work requirements in 2020, they have spent twice as much on Deloitte consultants and administrative costs as on healthcare for people."

Finished snowblowing the driveway. Sore, tired, too old for this shit, but glad I got it taken care of now and not tomorrow morning after a deep freeze.

I'll still probably have to go over it again but it will be a lot easier now that the worst of it's gone. Stay warm and safe, folks.

Had a homeowner's nightmare this morning and the hot water to the bathroom wasn't working. Frozen blockage in the pipe.

Luckily I was able to get it going again, though I may have committed some homeowner crimes.

Stay warm and don't let your pipes freeze, folks!

Today's Techo

"The fact that you're thinking about what to eat tomorrow means, basically, that you're planning to keep going. And getting geared up to eat something tomorrow leaves you with no time to feel sick or depressed. It does a whole lot of good, doesn't it? Thinking about tomorrow's meal?"

Ok... I didn't like how my hair turned out last week. Luckily they were willing to fix it and dye it a proper teal. TEAL HAIR, YAY!

It will lighten up a bit when I wash it, but it's nice and vibrant and doesn't look like 'platinum blonde that got sick', so... I'm much happier!

The state legislature's default position is "do nothing". This is nothing new. They only have energy for rolling back climate protections, refusing to make child marriage illegal, and passing bullshit gun control. If it actually benefits the people of Massachusetts, they're allergic. #mapoli
Massachusetts has a democratic supermajority and they have not passed any legislation limiting ICE's actions in our state. Maura Healey is not leading our state, she's just hitting talking points

Finished "The City we Became" by NK Jemisin. While I loved the broken earth trilogy and thought this had interesting concepts, it really fell flat and didn't grab me. I think it may have worked great as a graphic novel but just did not work as a 450 page novel. Still finished, tho!

Got my first perfect end in archery tonight! 30 points!

Followed it up with two misses but still, proud of it!

My other round was a new PB of 185 points. Need 200 for the next pin, but I'm getting there!

I'm glad to see this project finally come online. But the fact that it took ten years to build a transmission line, and often it got blocked at the last minute (Northern Pass and the Maine referendum) and the fact that wind power is also constantly blocked has been exhausting to observe
After 10 years of controversy, lawsuits, and even a ballot referendum, the New England Clean Energy Connect is up and running 🔌

With a capacity of 1,200 megawatts, the new line can satisfy 20% of Massachusetts' electricity needs. www.wbur.org/news/2026/01... @wbur.org #energysky
A decade in the making, clean energy power line for Mass. is up and running
A major new transmission line that can bring renewable electricity from Quebec to Massachusetts is finally, after a whole lot of controversy and delay, starting to deliver power.

I'm nervous and worried it didn't turn out right but I'm excited I did it -- I got my hair dyed fun color for the first time!

Target was Minty teal, not sure if it's sickly straw but I need to get used to it.

TELL ME I LOOK AWESOME, I'M VERY SELF CONSCIOUS R/N
