Pencil face. Jojo, an old friend.

I'm not always gonna just post my hobby stuff, but it's my first day here and I want to establish a more... um... wholesome following than on my previous social media experience. More art, less politics. More nature, less religion. More Tolkien, less CNN. 🌻

The Honduran-born Charlotte resident filed a police report after the officers let him go.

Racial profiling, no warrant, no due process; but what else can one expect from a regime committing extrajudicial murder on the high seas?

Trump's gotta go.

Awesome. Stare at it a minute... see the planning and patience that must have gone into this. Love it.

Beet and meatball stew. Ground up some fennel, cumin, and cinnamon for the meatballs. Sweet onion, garlic, cabbage, potato, and beef stock. Fucking delicious.
Had it with perfectly undercooked veal liver on pickled onion salad. All within my diet perimeters, but so good.

I always have a "before bed" show to end the night. I'm well into S1 of Arrow. Ohhh, I could go on about the problems with it... but it's good, entertaining, mindless fun. I can see it getting really dumb (more so) by the next season, though. Ah, well! Worth a watch if you're into DC stuff.

Customer wanted their gross old painted kitchen countertop redone to look like a new quartz countertop. I feel like I'm in way over my head! I always do this; feel like a fraud, you know. But I've learned to ignore my self-esteem voice, lol. The reasonable part of me think it looks cool! 👍

On a very strict diet... which is working very well; down from 270 to 245 in, like, 6 weeks. It's brutal for someone who LOVES to cook, and eat, and eat cheesecake 😭 But being healthier and looking like I want to look makes me happy 👍😏 Hopefully keeps me out the hospital...

This is all true, so don't think I'm "Not all..." -ing the message. I was raised in a very diverse area, and was exposed to foods from all over the world. I was eating curries and Thai food in like 1980 😏 My spices are many, and ALL are used often!

Remember when the Democratic Party party turned on David Hogg for suggesting we should primary the types of senators who would do shit like fold in half at the worst possible time, resulting in millions of Americans getting fucked over a barrel?

"fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."

- Centrist Dems who aren't happy with the thing, but are trying really hard to spin it so it was a good thing

Clue: it wasn't.

Now that's idealistic leftism! Radical!

(and totally reasonable, fair, and ethical, and exactly how it should but never will be 🫩)
I have an idea that I've never heard put forth before:

Let's make a law, that no member of congress can vote on any issue in which a donor has an interest. You can take as much campaign lucre as you want, but every corporate donor disqualifies you from voting on issues that might affect that donor.

Makes me both love and hate people a bit more, this. The dark sickness in some people's minds to want to hurt something like that. I can't understand it.

"California is now the 4th largest economy in the world because of Governor Newsom! Yay!"

Yep. It's also #1 in poverty rate, #3 in unemployment, cost of living is 50% higher than nat. avg., housing is 116% higher. One of the highest homeless rates. Etc etc.

Crafting a funky hallway table for a customer. The angles really tested my math skills! It's solid Sapele, weighs as much as a small car, and will be stained more red (to match all that red staining from a couple weeks ago). Black glass top.
