If you live in the US and your freedom means something to you, here’s something you’d want to have a look at ASAP
I installed Arch on my second computer which is an old desktop.
It had Windows 10 and I was used to it needing like a good 10 minutes to start. Restarting used to take like 20 min but I get it, it’s old and has a HDD and not an SSD.
20 min was normal.
After installing Arch, it’s less than 2 min.

I urge you, please, do not trust giant privately owned tech companies, or software that is not open source and publicly maintained, and that is profit driven and owned by a private company, because it is inherently worse for your peivacy and freedom than open source software.

I’ve used Linux (CachyOS) as my main OS (completely uninstalled Windows lol) for a few days now. Its super capable and while there’s a learning curve, I’m getting the hang of it.
