Those who are thinking the Epstein file release will take Trump down will be sorely disappointed. Republican names will be scrubbed and any references to Trump will be redacted. Those who think he would willingly agree to anything with accountability have not been paying attention.

agreeing to make a terrible deal while your main opponent is quite literally being boo'd on live tv by an entire stadium of people is the kind of political instinct you'd normally only find in a 3 week old dead goldfish

Was the thought process going into this that Dem voters would be satisfied with an appearance of resistance? That we would say, well, you guys tried really hard & we give you an A for effort? Because my opinion is that performative drama is the MAGA brand, it should not be ours.

I wish I could say it was a surprise to hear the Dems are surrendering without a healthcare guarantee. This represents the final straw for myself and other life-long Democrats.

Sorry Nancy, a patriot doesn’t lie to the American people to get us into unnecessary wars no matter how much you want to whitewash his past. Past time for you to move on.

Since every Republican in Congress is repeating their false talking point over & over that “Democrats want to shut down the govt to give free healthcare to illegal aliens,” it would be helpful if some Democrats in Congress could address that argument with facts at some point.

This framing also conditions his base. Once hardship deepens under oligarchy, their dissent will rise too. By normalizing speech as “violence,” he ensures even his own supporters stay muted - fearful, disciplined, and loyal, even as their conditions deteriorate. This is textbook authoritarianism.

Trump claims crime is down to "virtually nothing" in DC & adds the crimes that are happening are "much lesser things. Things that take place in the home they call crime. You know, they'll do anything they can to find something. If a man has a little fight w/the wife they say 'this is a crime. See?'"
