The richest country in the world claims it cannot feed its hungriest citizens. Nor provide health care to 40 million citizens. Cannot? Or chooses not to?

Just heard a news report saying that the Dems may agree to give up on preserving our healthcare benefits to reopen the government. If it's true and they do that now, we'll never get it back. Stand firm, please.

According to the New York Times, FOTUS is now threatening to retaliate against states that figured out on their own how to provide full SNAP benefits to low-income families.

Yesterday Republicans clearly took ownership of the ongoing shutdown by refusing a Dem offer to negotiate a compromise and by Johnson announcing the House will remain closed for an 8th week. There' no way for the GOP to spin this.

The GOP has extended tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations but refuses to extend the premium tax credits that support the Affordable Care Act healthcare insurance marketplace. That's why the shutdown continues. Period.
