Always feels great to finally get the world to see what you have been working at for the past years. This one has been in the making for around 3 years now and will finally ship early next year. Can't wait to see players trying to keep their patients alive!

update on my Slime game💚

The dungeon's popularity is plummeting! Only the Slime can make it fun again. Lots of magic sodas are needed to get the job done.

In Game Dev, this is true. They cost performance and memory.

Bryce canyon was mind-blowing when I visited (12 years ago now, wow). It's such a bizarre place.
If you ever write a real time lighting solution that can render Bryce canyon realistically, hit me up, fellow #techart ists 😂

Wow! I Love those making-ofs. So much interesting stuff in there. I would never have guessed that the stars were done using voronoi noise!

That is really mesmerizing to watch.

It's hard if you do it from scratch. We shipped 2 MP games. 1st infra was done from scratch on MS azure. 2nd one we just went with a Middleware.

A little #zelda shiekah slate inspired background animation.
It's just 2 planes; the rest is materials.
Looking at it now I think I messed up the sRGB conversion (which is why it's so dark) but it's been a while since I made this so I can't be bothered to re-enter it.

Sounds like a case for the clear coat shading model and some volumetrics together with a geometric approximation of the bottle shape (box or cylinder shape). That should be easily computable in a shader without any raytracing. Just needs a lot of maths. Basically: approximate the raytracing result.

But do you 100% surely really need ALL of them? I.e. Make sure to only make the ones that your game needs right now, in case your design changes.
