I am from New Zealand. I live in England. I do sysadmin / DevOps / SQL / IT bits. I also talk about aviation and sports. I have young twins. I’m probably tired.
Bad luck Scotland - still 0-31-2 all time vs the All Blacks.

Satan has been spotted.
I am a lorry driver. I love seeing a huge que of cars behind me on single carriageways. I deliberately do 45. Then speed up to 57 if there is any possibility for anyone to overtake me

I am shocked to discover that the whole delay repay process for claiming back the costs of disrupted rail travel seems to be a scam designed to cause you to give up in frustration.

4 rejected claims so far for one incident because the circumstances don't fit their pre-defined selection options.

I for one am shocked to hear that:

- There may be an AI bubble.
- It will probably burst.

It’s not like this has happened before or anything…

Sigh - another day trying to avoid being screwed by insurance.

Policy renewal - £914/year.
Exact same policy from same company taken out as a new policy - £580/year.

Bastards.

Meanwhile in America, when a guy tried to ferment an uprising against his election defeat, they re-elected him president.

It might just say something about Trump's presidency that if he's not seen or heard commiting any impeachable or illegal acts for a few days, the natural assumption must be that he's dead.

This is basically Munich 1938.
Looking forward to Trump returning to Washington to proclaim ’peace in our time’.

Always nice to get a midday wake up call courtesy of the United States Air Force.

Very low pass over my house by 2 x F-35s and one F-15.

Nice to see that a lot of Labour MPs finally remembered that they are in fact in the Labour Party, and that acting like Tories in disguise is not actually a Good Thing.

This is pretty fucking devious from Marriot Bonvoy - the unsubscribe link is miniscule and buried at the bottom of the email, and the options to actually unsubscribe are baffling. Which ones do you choose?

Nothing like a trip to Cambridge to remind you what a miserable experience it is

Alcatraz? Really?

I assume this is because he watched The Rock last night.

Was on a long haul flight recently, thought I'd watch the film Conclave.

Can't help but feel this might be all my fault.

Came all the way to New Zealand, heard a plane flying overhead yesterday, looked up, it was an An-124. Not something you see here very often.

Hey you big orange baby, will you please stop tanking the world stock markets? You're making everyone poorer.

Farewell from my daughter as she leaves for school this morning:

'Bye Dad, don't be cringy when I get home.'

Going to NZ for the Easter holidays. Because it is such a long way, we are taking the kids out of school for 1 day (last day of term) to maximise the time in NZ.

Tried to be honest and told the school. Their response - unauthorised absence, possible fine.

Next time I'll lie and say they're sick!

"We're not allowed to sell cars there," Trump says of Europe. "The European Union is very nasty."

Has the Orange Bloviator ever heard of a car manufacturer called Tesla?
