Headteacher of the primary school I went to when I was little. Worked here for over 20 years and still love it. We were evacuated 16/01/23. Can’t wait to be back together as one school. Also love books.

Last Christmas was mainly spent having conversations with my family about what we would do if I got in trouble for speaking out.

Raising concerns shouldn’t feel so scary.

Voicing your opinion shouldn’t result in you being labelled difficult.

Bradshaw is a good egg, and it’s been a difficult time in that liminal space. His little but fierce kickstarter pre-launch is below. If you like or have kids (you can like those kids too) & are interested in DnD then this is great.

Can I ask a favour?

Life has been really tough lately due to terminal family illness and I just haven’t had the spoons for decent self promotion.

Could you please give the “Little but Fierce” kickstarter prelaunch page a repost (and maybe a follow)?

Amazing work! Well done to all involved.
This is a lovely article about the work of Citizens UK, highlighting Tyne and Wear Citizens and their great achievements.

“Making sure that what is taught today gives pupils genuine access to the conversations, ideas and disciplines they will need tomorrow.”
A discussion of the essay collection, The Value of a Knowledge-Rich Curriculum.
Knowledge is not about status or nostalgia but access. Access to disciplines, to shared reference points, to the long human conversation that too many children are excluded from.

When your school is in two temporary modular buildings it takes a little extra effort to make it feel Christmassy.

Our reading champions and the staff looking after the libraries definitely got the memo 📚🎄❤️

Will lifting the two-child benefit cap really make a difference to schools?
The government’s announcement that it will remove the limit was welcomed by anti-poverty campaigners. But to what extent will it help schools? Ellen Peirson-Hagger finds out
