We (with @bendavisgroup.bsky.social) were using NHS chemistry for some protein conjugation when we noticed some odd prominent side products. It turns out thio-nhs reagents (a major class of reagents) has some notable side reactions that happen all the time.

That is a *serious* Series A for a hardware proteomics tech! I think Alamar was something like $14M, Seer was $6M, nautilus $27M, so this is hefty. I'm itching to get some demo samples done and get quote estimates.

PhosX is out! doi.org/10.1093/bioi... Leveraging the latest kinase specificity maps by the Cantley, Yaffe, and Turk labs and a rank sum statistic we created PhosX so now we can predict activities for nearly all kinases in your phosphodata, including the understudied ones. Check it out!

Few quick notes for new followers 🦋 Please add some bio ✍️ before starting to follow. I still have time to go through new followers and skip those without bio just as a precaution. If you add it later, I (and others) may not return to follow back and I would hate to miss out on great scientists👩‍🔬🧑‍🔬!
