You know, a lot of people talk smack about mercury in retrograde but more than once I’ve reconnected with friends I don’t hear from often or from old friends I basically stopped talking to and it’s really nice. I’m grateful for it. It’s also such a good time to re-strategize organization.

Well. I may have just saved my grandma and her cat’s life. I really don’t know what she would have done if I wasn’t here.

The more I hear the more I really, really like Mamdani. May he flourish in his role and live for a long and happy time.

I’ve set up a recurring donation with mine. Even $5 a month can help a lot—usually way more than we, who don’t buy in bulk, could buy in equivalent.
Feeding America has a page where you can input your zip code and it'll show you all of the food banks near you overlaid on a map. If you need it, it's there. If you don't need it, think about donating money if you have it and your time if you don't.

I’m still not over someone calling me lovely the other day. That’s literally such a lovely compliment? It’s not a word you hear often so it seems particularly sincere.

The AI actress thing is just like that film that tried to make a splash by "casting" a reanimated AI James Dean: they're trying to build outrage so that they can get their brand in the news and on everyone's lips. So, I made a specific effort NOT to learn who made the woman-shaped digital puppet.

Got myself a new tarot deck and I am so pleased with it. It's better than I expected, I'm glad I let myself take the risk especially since I didn't love the other deck I bought from this creator. It's beautiful, detailed, and well thought out. It has made a previously not so great day better.

Every leftist knows fellow leftists are some of the most annoying people on the planet but there's a gigantic difference between being annoying and having institutional power. If you spend most of your energy punching left instead of right you simply do not have your priorities straight

If the way the right responded to Charlie Kirk's death wasn't absolute proof of the overall vitriol they feel for BIPOC and LGBT+ just for trying to live their lives I don't know what is. Stupid motherfuckers.

Just a reminder to check for your name in this list of books that OpenAI trained from. If your name is there, they probably owe you several thousand dollars.

OpenAI cried that if everyone eligible author files, the company will go bankrupt, so I'm alerting every author I have ever spoken to.

In Japanese myth, earthquakes are caused by the thrashing of Namazu, a giant underground catfish. The famous map Jishin-no-ben depicts earthquake damage to Japan from 1854 to 1855, along with a dragon encircling the continent as a possible reference to Namazu. #MythologyMonday
