There's a scene in the 1981 film Mephisto where the main German character recognises an acquaintance from England (the setting is 1930s Europe). The Englishman punches him and says "that's for what is happening in Germany right now".
Just ran into it on a flight home from the EU. My wife sat next to a Swede who was hostile after he initiated a political conversation in which she agreed with his viewpoint.
We had to trade seats. I am not complaining, it's just the first time I've encountered hostility for merely being American.

I'm glad they acknowledge later in the article that Finn's techniques in SOR are actually effective and grounded in pedagogy. As a music teacher, I was smiling and nodding furiously as the film got beyond Act 2 and he achieved increasing success with these students.
