Gun violence is a threat to freedom and liberty, and gun-owners who believe they have a right to an unregulated gun-industry are not just wrong, but are per-se irresponsible and reveal how unworthy of a weapon they are.

The Post DC v. Heller interpretation of the 2nd amendment is tyrannical.

It brings me glee as a new (As of today) Attorney to say this one: My most Woke opinion is that American prisons at least as currently designed, serve no penological purpose and are an affront to Justice; as they make us all unsafer and violate the rights of the convicted.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

The problem with getting rid of Schumer is that many people hate him and Americans are dissatisfied with the Democratic party right now, people generally think their own representative is 'trying their best'. America suffers from complacency. He's not unbeatable, but primary challenges are hard.

The Democratic establishment seems to think it needs to be afraid of GOP voters. It is time for us to make them afraid of the voters they're actually supposed to serve. Every establishment Democrat shoud be primaried. The whole lot of the old guard needs to be thrown out.
November 10, 2025 at 5:49 PM
Anyone defending Schumer right now needs to be ashamed of themselves. People will say "Oh but he's not the one who voted for this shutdown deal!"

It doesn't matter. Schumer is the leader. It is his role to set the party line and push for it. He failed and does so constantly.
November 10, 2025 at 5:12 PM
I would like to propose that from now on, Chuck Schumer be called 'Charlie Brown' for constantly 'falling for it' whenever his GOP colleagues promise good faith and give us nothing.

My non-political Mom (Non-political not Apolitical. She cares she just doesn't normally post about politics) got some snide comment from my nutcase MAGA cousin, rhetorically asking if even one Republican has called for violence.

Tempted to ruin this man's whole career.

To cut about 0.5% of the US federal budget, the United States chose to sentence hundreds of thousands of people, mostly kids, to death. The GOP's irate, irrational hate-boner for international aid is vile.

basically every 2024 truism is dead. Trump did not build a lasting multiracial coalition or turn young men into committed Republicans. You don’t need to cave on trans rights to win. The pundits have nothing left to tell you.

What is the opposite of a mandate election? Because this is it.
November 5, 2025 at 1:51 AM
I can't wait for the NY Times and Wash Post to call this election cycle a referendum on Trumpism and start asking Republicans what they plan to do to change their policies to reflect the will of voters.

I'm SURE that'll be coming soon. (I'm not)

Yes, I'm sure the answer to the country's problems, as exemplified by the NYC race, is to elect 'centrist Dem upholding policies that have not changed since the 90's' #987

This is your yearly reminder that Daylight Savings Time is an anachronism that never had a purpose, and subjects us all to a meaningless annoyance. In a world of complex and difficult issues, the decision to kill DST is easy and it's asinine to me that we still haven't done it.

More Democrats should get more combative with the media, in particular by calling out questions that have an unspoken premise of "GOP voters are realer Americans than you," or in this case, "the president can break the law if voters in a city choose a mayor according to their own preferences."
In the 1st question of his brief interview with Mamdani. Anderson Cooper reports Trump’s strongman threats to punish NYC if the Mayoral candidate is elected, as if he gets to select where funding goes according to his whims, & then asks whether voters will find it “worth the hassle” to vote for him.

This is genuinelly pathetic. This is why I hate people who act like Fox is in the same league of terrible as CNN or MSNBC. FOX legitimately will commit to a bit and insist on talking about some gripe for weeks on end. It's really just perpetual rage-bait. FOX is reddit before reddit existed.
"A girl made fun of me!" is part of every MAGA origin story.
It’s been over 2 weeks since AOC said Stephen Miller was weak and puny. Fox is still talking about it.

Applying for jobs as an Attorney.

Could employers please learn what the word 'entry level' means. Entry level means tops, 1-2 years of experience, and you are willing to take someone out of school. Don't post a job listing as 'entry level' if you say someone needs 5 years of experience.
