Hypothetically, you could have said councilors be elected from rotating states. So, have 9 districts. Councilors serve a single 10 year term. Every election, a new state from each region gets to elect a candidate. Everyone gets a chance at leading.

IMO, it's a superior answer to 'tyranny of the majority' than the Senate. To veto legislation, members must get other councilors to agree with them, say, a majority. It functions with the same purpose as the Senate, but more workable.

The Swiss political system is quite quirky, but I think that the federal council is really great to me. You don't have power solidifed in the hands of a single executive, but you have said executive council members be elected from different regions of the country.

Lately, I've been fascinated by the Swiss system with their executive. It's really something I never realized you could just 'do' and it sort of answers the concern about executive tyranny a lot.

It should just be mandated that all Casinos need to be vaguely uncomfortable. Keep the room just a tad too chilly, have harsh lights, and every chair lacks any cushion to speak of.

Whatever it is, it isn't Hartford sadly. Once upon a time, Mark Twain called it the greatest city in the nation. It's the city I'm closest to, and I'd love to see it blossom.

Also, I don't see this as woke but just common-sense: The U.S. Senate should be abolished entirely and so should the electoral college. Anything less is tyranny.

What is stupid to me is that housing supply is driven by demand. Our market is entirely capable of building enough for everyone. We just choose not to.

They'd have to do what Trump wants to do right now, which is deport people like citizens and permanent residents who have as much right to be here as any of us.

It's just an attempt to try to give a veneer of legitimacy to what is ultimately predicated upon xenophobia and little else. Besides the boost to labor force, undocumented are a tiny fraction of the population.

I just hate being angry at everyone around me and everyone is pissed while driving especially on the highway. I do not believe anyone actually enjoys commuting. The only drive that looks remotely fun is on some winding road in the country maybe.
