I understand that a lot of folks have been misled by fear-mongering and powerful regressive voices but it’s still astonishing to me that so many have fallen for the idea that oppressively policing other people’s gender identity and expression could in any way be part of an enlightened future.

15 Years ago transphobes demanded us to undergo all those risky surgeries to prove that we're actually trans, and I guess a lot of us just internalized their demand, even though these days most of those people are calling to ban all the surgeries they demanded us to have.
My theory about trans people is that, like other medical patients, we typically seek the least invasive means of addressing our problem.
I don't experience gender dysphoria anymore so why bother getting a painful, inconvenient, costly surgery?
