#Lucknow is now recognised by #UNESCO as a Creative City of Gastronomy. scroll.in/magazine/929...

Revisit this piece by Priyali Prakash on one of Lucknow's special delicacies, the majlisi kebab or ghutwa kebab.
A centuries-old kebab tells the story of the richness of Lucknow’s Awadhi food
When cooks couldn’t shape individual kebabs for enormous groups of people, they came up with a solution: a kebab that is a paste.

One interesting outcome of AI agents being so fast at prototyping:

It can take longer to have a meeting about building a prototype than to build it!

So... why not just build it, then show it and talk about it?

Prototypes are the most powerfully tool I know of for increasing the productivity of conversations about what software should do and how it should work

They're tools for thinking

We think Java would 100% be Ross Geller from Friends.
He’s reliable, if a bit verbose, and he’s been around forever. He may not be the flashiest in the room, but he's solid, knows his stuff, and has a lot of history.

Starting in February I'm going to start a (free) new live coding series where I build a handful of these apps with a recent college graduate that works with me.

I think it will be a great tutorial for people who want to learn aspects of engineering you don't get in school. #staytuned

While we’re banning books…

Finland is teaching children in school how to recognize fake news and propaganda as part of critical thinking and civic responsibility. Some of this will seem very familiar.

Visiting #Italy 🇮🇹 for the first time makes me realise how safe #Singapore is. Even though I was mentally prepared for it and my guard was on all the time, but my recent visit to Firenze still managed to disappoint me.

How do you manage your AI prompts? Any tooling/process for it, or still pretty much adhoc?

AI might not be there but we all can agree that multiple tools built on top of GenAI has increased our productivity, at the very least for most of the Software professionals. One thing that comes hand-in-hand with that is expectation of more value produced with less.
