I have created cursed nonsense. Intel GPU ftw!! Next, we will try to get heroic working; steam needs a multilib rebuild
That said, with the release of Linux From Scratch 13.0-rc1, I will return to my learnings. I had to abandon the previous attempt because it was hard to swap from my main pc in order to build packages. Much easier to do on a laptop

But arch is the best. Because configuration is transparent to the user. Because most packages have relatively few tinkerings from upstream. Because I don't have to wonder if there's some quirk in the os that's been abstracted away.

It is fine that people want simple. And for no-fuss linux, I thino something lile bazzite, mint, fedora, or openSUSE is just about there.

My desktop's Battlemage doesn't play nice with VRR, so I disabled it

I am not a programmer. I don't know java and I still struggle to fully understand a bash script.

But I didn't find it hard. This past year I have only had to manually intervene in an arch update:

It has been one year since I permanently ditched Microslop for the mighty penguin. This was never a '30 day Linux challenge'—those are often disingenuous and unserious—it was always gonna be for the long haul. My thoughts....

An incredible photograph of Dickensian London taken in 1865 - the year Abraham Lincoln was assassinated, Lewis Carroll's Alice made her first trip to Wonderland and a mere 22yrs after “A Christmas Carol” was published.

No joke, I've been thinking along these lines all of last year myself. Bring back RSS and simple html webpages. How hard can it be to grab a cheap old thrown-away windows 10 box, flash it with arch or somth. and buy a domain name?

These are the kind of mocs we remember building as kids. Where any oddly-coloured block will do so long as it fits the bill

Looking at Sir Henry Rushbury’s watercolour of Edinburgh (1953) is like peering over his shoulder as he refined angles and perspectives; he continually wrestled with how to invite the viewer into the act of seeing as much as he witnessed in a view.
