While coding transcripts, I’ve seen a gap between social justice education’s target students in HEIs and the diverse learners they serve. Strategies must differ for those long exposed to these ideas versus newcomers from conservative backgrounds. Change is possible, but slow.

In July, I’ve been busy writing my thesis and taking on volunteer projects. As someone drawn to abstract theories and academic reading, one of the most valuable lessons I’ve gained from TRU’s M.Ed. program is the importance of knowledge mobilization—bridging research and real-world impact.
