Helping to ring and monitor 4 beautiful Barn Owls in Shropshire today. Last year the brood didn’t survive due to the wet weather, so it was lovely to have a better outcome this year. Ringed and monitored under licence.

Helping to ring and monitor 4 beautiful Barn Owls in Shropshire today. Last year the brood didn’t survive due to the wet weather, so it was lovely to have a better outcome this year. Ringed and monitored under licence.

Yesterday morning was a stunner at #salopobs and came complete with a #vismig Whimbrel whistling SW, at the end of a night of 4 #nocmig schinzii Dunlin and an 💥AVOCET💥 Garden tick 150 and the 9th species of wader this month 😎 #ukbirding

I was privileged to go with #WestMidlandsRingingGroup to check on the nests of some Red Kite chicks in Worcestershire at the weekend. We found 8 healthy chicks in 3 nests and they were all checked and ringed under a Schedule 1 licence.
